How We Work
Principal interior designers, Joe McGuire and Matthew Tenzin, take a lead role in all projects, large and small. With the support of our highly-skilled team of designers and drafters, we help you create the home of your dreams in a fun, efficient and cost-effective way.
We start by helping you clarify your vision, timeline, budget and goals. We schedule a set number of meetings and milestones to keep your project on track. And we provide accurate estimates for furnishings and design fees, so you have a clear sense of costs up front.
Holistic Design
For those who are interested in a more intentional approach, we offer the optional Home Within Process, a unique series of holistic design services based on our collective decades of training in meditation, energy work, and the healing arts.
This additional series of meetings includes energy clearing, guided visioning and practices for connecting with your land, your history, and your highest intention for your home. This process results in creative insights that can have a profound impact on the design process, helping you create the most healthy, happy and meaningful home possible.
Who We Are
It's hard to believe it was 17 years years ago that Joe launched Joe McGuire Design out of a tiny condo in downtown Aspen, Colorado. Although he had been designing high-end homes since 1997, venturing out on his own took a leap of faith.
In the years since, his journey led to partnering with Matthew Tenzin in 2012, opening interior design offices in Boulder and Aspen, and designing uniquely comfortable and livable homes around Colorado and other parts of the US.
With their shared backgrounds in meditation and the healing arts, Joe and Matthew have developed the Home Within Process, an intentional and holistic approach to design that prioritizes wellness, sustainability and the subtle energies in spaces that can have a huge impact on the way we feel.
