Natural Modern Townhome

A Match Made in Aspen

When the new owners of this downtown Aspen townhome reached out to us, it felt meant to be. They had followed us on Instagram and loved our warm, earthy take on modern design. We loved their warm, down-to-earth personalities and their vision for their home. Who says perfect matches can't be made on social media?

The townhome, built in the late 80's, was in dire need of re-do. Working with Zone 4 Architects and SH Built, we gutted and revamped all three floors, and redesigned the kitchen, stairway, fireplaces, bathrooms and millwork throughout.

New flooring, tile, paint, AV and lighting brought the home fully up-to-date. And a mix of vintage and contemporary furnishings, art and accessories brought the lighthearted, natural modern feel that is our specialty.

The end result is a luxurious and relaxed pied-a-terre in the heart of Aspen that feels as good as it looks. Shall we kick off our shoes and enjoy a good book?

Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving,

Joe & Matthew

We'd like to thank everyone on our hard-working team who brought their magic and finesse to make this project a success.

We'd also like to thank Tom Sherlock and the detail-oriented crew at SH Built for going above and beyond to get this project to the finish line on a tight timeline.

And we'd like to thank our clients for not just following us on Instagram, but for reaching out and inviting us to collaborate with them on this very special home. It's been a cherished experience we will never forget.

Red Mountain Refresh

A Remodel to Write Home About

We love a good remodel! For us, there's nothing more fun than seeing the pure potential in a property, and bringing it into form in a way that helps our clients feel a new sense of home throughout their daily lives.

In this case, our clients were longtime friends who, for many years, have owned a home in one of the loftiest areas of Aspen. Red Mountain addresses are highly sought after for the vast sunrises and sunsets, expansive views of the entire valley and the town below, while being just a short drive away.

Built in the 1970's, the home was in need of an update. The family thought they might have to tear it down and start from scratch, at great expense. But when we collaborated with them, they were thrilled to find a way to work with the home's mid-century bones to create spaces that were inspiring and up-to-date.

We stained the exterior dark charcoal, replaced windows and doors, and doubled the size of the deck. On the inside, we refinished the floors, remodeled the kitchen, and cloaked the fireplace in white oak cabinets and American Clay. Once refreshed - with new lighting and furnishings throughout - the result is a stylish yet grounded hang-out, befitting of the high-flying address.

We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the team at Rutgers Construction, who were a pleasure to work with on this project, as well as to our clients and friends, for trusting us with their home, and for letting us share these photos with all of you.
